Books Reviewed:
Total Books Reviewed: 7
This number is a bit down from last month. I probably have 5-6 books I’ve read that I still need to write reviews for. Otherwise, I blame it on my exhaustion after BEA and that pesky kidney infection I had!
Pick of the Month: Without a doubt, So Cold the River by Michael Kortya!
Special Events
We had a lot of special events in June!
- We celebrated Audio Book Week, thanks to the fine planning of Jen from Devourer of Books. I wrote about why I listen to audio books, how I write audio book reviews, and completed a fun audio book meme.
- I celebrated my favorite local indie bookstore, Hooray for Books!
- My oldest son & I did a joint review of Alison Dare: Little Miss Adventure as part of his Tales of a (Formerly) Reluctant Reader feature.
- This month’s Adventures in Parenting focused on trust.
- Registration opened for BBAW!
- I started planning for the horror/thriller feature I have planned for October. Interested in participating by doing a guest post on your favorite thriller/horror book or movie? Have a book you’d like featured? Want to donate some prizes? Email me at jennsbookshelfATgmail.com or fill out my Contact Me form.
Guest posts/interviews this month:
- One Question Interview with Lauren Baratz-Logsted
- Aviva Goldfarb, author of SOS! The Six O’Clock Scramble to the Rescue
